Barratt London’s new development in The City of London is in an area that’s not as often talked about as East or West, but just as exciting and full of surprises. They wanted a brand to communicate not just the fantastic location but also its rich heritage and local sights.
Our response was to create the Landmark Place brand. We took inspiration from the building’s location, at the very place where the Romans landed to found Londinium, and the first postcode. This inspired our campaign line ‘Be the first.’
We then collaborated with Wallpaper’s editor-at large Henrietta Thompson, and the Museum of London to discuss history in an editorial style, creating The First Edition. Decorative illustrations helped us showcase the capital’s many firsts and building amenities.
The First Edition incorporates elements of storytelling, style and skilful drawing. It’s a carefully crafted guide to North Bank’s history, culture and people.
