Jazz FM

After over a year consulting with Jazz FM on their main brand, we were appointed to manage and deliver a new brand and integrated campaign for their annual Jazz FM awards; a private event, with c500 guests, celebrating the very best in jazz blues and soul.

Their goal was to elevate the reputation of the event from the stereotyped ‘smokey basement jazz club’ to a sophisticated, reputable and distinguished event, whilst still being part of the over-arching Jazz FM brand. They aspired to make the awards the go-to event for both musicians and affiliates of the jazz, soul and blues world, as well as increasing awareness and engagement from their station listeners and general public.

Our creative for the Jazz FM Awards 2017 was routed in the main Jazz FM brand position ‘Listen in colour’, with a vibrant gradient-based colour palette, contemporary fonts and playful social media hashtag #onlythesharpest.

We delivered 5 social media campaigns, website, invitations, printed merchandise, on-the-night signage, wayfinding, events programme, A/V awards presentation, film, website & award trophies. 

The campaign and award ceremony were a complete success, with 380% increase in public votes, with increased traffic to the website and over 6,000,000 impressions of the hashtag used across all social media platforms. The reputation of the night was elevated, with our client receiving great praise and recognition from artists, winners, guests, sponsors and key influencers of the music scene.
